Heavy Equipment Lifting Services Assist in Hoisting Forklifts Onto Trailer
CTR Towing Service is always looking for ways to expand our portfolio of service offerings and gain valuable experience in these areas. We recently put our heavy duty skills to the test to assist a transport company in preparing several forklifts for their journey. This proved to be a rewarding project that will help us better provide for our clients.
CTR Towing Service’s heavy equipment lifting team received a call from a local Grand Prairie, TX transport company. While this company felt comfortable accompanying 4 forklifts on their journey to a major construction site, they wanted assistance with the heavy equipment lifting.
This is where CTR Towing Service stepped up to the plate. We arrived at the location to find four forklifts that needed to be loaded onto a semi truck trailer. The Raymond brand forklifts, model 550-OPC30TT, were waiting in the parking lot, ready to be hoisted.
To accomplish this task, we brought in our 25-ton heavy duty wrecker to make easy work of the job. First, our heavy equipment lifting technician backed the wrecking truck up towards the first forklift. The first forklift was rigged up to the winching hook and attached with straps of the proper weight capacity.
As the heavy equipment lifting technician lifted the forklift, the flatbed trailer driver backed the truck up underneath the forklift. Next, the CTR Towing Service heavy equipment team carefully and slowly placed the forklift down onto the trailer.
Once in place and secured, the transport company’s flatbed trailer truck driver moved the vehicle out of the way to repeat the process.
Our heavy equipment lifting crew carried out the same steps for each of the remaining three forklifts. Thanks to our heavy equipment lifting and rigging expertise, this job was completed in under an hour.

CTR Towing Service prides ourselves on providing the best heavy equipment lifting services in Grand Prairie, TX and surrounding areas. We recently had an opportunity to exercise these heavy equipment lifting skills to assist a transport company in loading up four forklifts onto a flatbed trailer.
Upon arriving at the Grand Prairie, Texas warehouse location, the heavy equipment lifting team met the transport company tasked with getting the forklifts from point A to point B. After developing a quick strategy, the heavy equipment lifting crew got to work lifting the four Raymond brand forklifts, model numbers 550-OPC30TT.
The heavy equipment lifting company’s 25-ton heavy duty wrecker was used to do the bulk of the lifting. To start, the heavy equipment lifting technician backed the wrecker up towards the first forklift in line. The heavy equipment lifting crew rigged the forklift to the winching hook and used straps of an adequate weight capacity to do the hoisting.
While the heavy equipment lifting technician had the forklift dangling in the air, the driver of the flatbed trailer slowly backed up the truck underneath the forklift. Then, the heavy equipment lifting team cautiously placed the forklift onto the trailer.
Next, the transport company’s flatbed trailer truck driver rolled the vehicle forward to make room to repeat the process for the remaining forklifts.
The process was repeated by the heavy equipment lifting team for the three additional forklifts. We were able to make easy work of a heavy job!
